Is anesthesia safe for my pet?

Yes, pet safety is our top priority. We recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing to evaluate liver and kidney function before surgery. These tests help identify underlying health conditions and reduce surgical risks, ensuring the safest possible care for your pet.

Depending on the procedure, we may use dissolvable stitches beneath the skin that do not require removal. Some surgeries may need external stitches, which are usually removed after 10–14 days. Our team will provide complete post-operative care instructions for a smooth recovery.
Most pets can be safely spayed or neutered at around 6 months of age. Before surgery, a health examination is performed to ensure your pet is fit for the procedure. Current vaccinations and pre-anesthetic screening may also be recommended for added safety.

While walk-in visits may be accommodated based on availability, we recommend scheduling an appointment to reduce waiting time and ensure your pet receives prompt attention. For emergencies, please contact Shiva Pet Clinic directly before arrival whenever possible.
